Donation & Refund Policy

Effective Date: October 18, 2026

Mendrix Healthcare Foundation is grateful for the generosity of its donors. This Donation & Refund Policy explains how donations made through our website and online payment systems are handled.

Donations

All donations are voluntary charitable contributions to Mendrix Healthcare Foundation. Unless a specific restricted campaign is expressly identified and accepted by the Foundation, online donations will be treated as unrestricted charitable contributions and may be used where the Foundation determines they are most needed to further its charitable mission.

Recurring Donations

If you choose a recurring donation, the payment method you provide will be charged at the frequency disclosed at checkout until the recurring donation is canceled. Donors may request cancellation of future recurring charges by contacting the Foundation. Cancellation does not automatically reverse donations that have already been processed.

Refund Requests

Charitable donations are generally considered final. However, Mendrix Healthcare Foundation may consider refund requests when a donation was made in error, a duplicate charge occurred, an incorrect amount was entered, or another exceptional circumstance warrants review. Refund requests should be submitted promptly and include the donor's name, donation date, amount, and transaction information.

Refund Decisions

Refunds are not guaranteed and will be reviewed by the Foundation on a case-by-case basis, subject to applicable law, payment processor rules, accounting requirements, and any restrictions associated with the gift. If approved, a refund will generally be returned to the original payment method.

Restricted Gifts

If the Foundation expressly accepts a donation for a specific restricted purpose, the Foundation will use the contribution in a manner consistent with that restriction. If a stated purpose becomes impracticable, impossible, or inconsistent with applicable law, the Foundation will address the gift in accordance with applicable legal and fiduciary requirements.

Processing Fees

Payment processing fees may be deducted by the payment processor before funds are deposited into the Foundation's account. The Foundation may offer donors an optional opportunity to increase a contribution to help offset processing costs. Any such option should be clearly disclosed and voluntary.
